The material of food packaging bags is selected according to the characteristics of the products to be packaged.

1.If the food packing bags need to be moisture-proof, cold-resistant, and have strong low-temperature heat-sealing tensile strength, you can choose BOPP/LLDPE two-layer composite material. This composite material is generally used for instant noodles, snacks, frozen desserts and other foods.

2.If the food bags need to be moisture-proof, oil-resistant, highly transparent and good stiffness, you can choose BOPP/CPP two-layer composite material. This composite material is generally used for biscuits, candies, and all kinds of light foods.

3.If the food bags need to be moisture-proof, oil-resistant, oxygen-proof, light-shielding, and good stiffness, you can choose BOPP/VMCPP two-layer composite material. This composite material is generally used for fried foods such as potato chips and various dry foods.

4.If the food bags need to be moisture-proof, oxygen-proof, and light-shielding, you can choose BOPP/VMPET/LLDPE three-layer composite material. This composite material is suitable for foods such as rice snacks and tea.

5.If you need food packing bag to be moisture-proof, oxygen-proof, fragrant, and high-temperature resistant, you can choose PET/CPP two-layer composite materials. This composite material is generally used for alcoholic foods, flavored foods, and foods that need to be steamed, such as frozen buns.

6. If you need food bags to be moisture-proof, high-temperature resistant, and easy to seal, you can choose PET/PET/CPP three-layer composite materials. This composite material is generally used for foods such as soy sauce and vinegar.

Abbreviation of food bag materials

The materials of food bags are mostly abbreviated, such as the common PVDC, PE, PP, PA, EVOH, and aluminized film.
PVDC is polyvinylidene chloride, PE is polyethylene, PP is polypropylene, PA is nylon, EVOH represents ethylene or vinyl alcohol copolymer, and aluminized film is aluminum + PE.
Even if only one letter is added before and after these abbreviations, the materials they represent are different. For example, PE and LLDPE, PE is polyethylene, and LLDPE refers to linear low-density polyethylene. PE includes LLDPE, and LLDPE is the product of PE subdivision. The same is true for PP, BOPP and CPP. BOPP refers to biaxially oriented polypropylene, and CPP refers to cast polypropylene, both of which are products of PP polypropylene subdivision.

Common food bag material structure
Most of the common food bags in life are composite bags made of multiple materials, and are generally divided into three-layer structures. Because PE and PP have high safety and good heat sealing properties, they are easy to seal. Therefore, the inner layer is generally PE or PP, the outer layer is PA, and the middle layer is EVOH, PVDC or aluminized film according to the characteristics of the product.
PVDC and EVOH have good barrier properties, and placing them in the middle of the food bag can effectively prevent oxidation. The aluminized film has good light-blocking properties and is suitable for properties that are not suitable for light. PA has good printability, so it is used in the outer layer.
Although most food bags are composite bags made of multiple layers of composite materials, there are also food bags made of a single material, such as the casing of ham sausage, which is made of only a single PVDC.
